Delete your Lighthouse account

You can ask us to delete your Lighthouse Tutoring account and the personal data linked to it. This applies whether you use the website or an installed app.

If you can sign in

Open Settings, choose Request account deletion, and confirm your request. We will contact you before removing the account so we can return any unused wallet money and settle any outstanding lessons or tutor payments.

If you cannot sign in

Email lighthousetut@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. Put “Account deletion” in the subject. If you no longer have access to that email address, tell us and we will explain how to verify the request.

What happens to your data

We remove account data that we no longer need. We may need to keep payment and transaction records required by law, and information needed to resolve an open dispute. Recordings are normally deleted after 90 days, transcripts after six months, and encrypted database backups are overwritten after 30 days.
